A Crack in Everything (A Susan Callisto Mystery, #1)

A really fast paced read!  This is a page turner murder mystery, with well rounded characters who experience love, greed, murder, and politics.

Twelve Years a Slave

An excellent, painful read about one Solomon Northrup, a citizen of N.Y. who was kidnapped in 1841 and taken to L.A. and forced to labor as a slave on a cotton plantation.  This was a refreshing/heartbreaking view of history (a period of time which is often white washed) as seen through the very observant eyes of one who lived it.

Term Limits

Fast paced political thriller.  This is Flynn's first book and it did not deserve publishing house rejections.  RIP Vince Flynn.

1225 Christmas Tree Lane (Cedar Cove, #12)

The final book in the Cedar Cove series.  Many of the story lines are tied up and also left open for further stories.  A nice, pleasant, feel-good series where life isn't always perfect but still positive.

Invisible Prey (Lucas Davenport, #17)

Lucas Davenport once again battles a serial killer in the twin cities of Minnesota.  Fast paced, gripping, keeps the reader reading quickly to reach the conclusion. Classic John Sanford.

Death of Yesterday (Hamish Macbeth, #29)

Hamish Macbeth once again using his Scottish intuition solves the mystery , but is still looking for "Mrs. Right."  A quick, fun, easy-to-read visit with Hamish and his Scottish Highlanders.

The King's Buccaneer (Krondor's Sons, #2)

Extremely entertaining story, fast-moving, fantasy plot.  Sequel to "Prince of the Blood" and even more fun.  Couldn't put it down.
