I finished this because it was part of the series, but I found it confusing. The author had more than one character speaking in 1st person. What? And then some of the story was in 3rd. On the other hand, if you just need mindless entertainment, this fits the bill. I had hoped there would be more about the hero's connection with his sister. I didn't like the ending.
