This book retells Grimm's fairy tale of Hansel & Gretel. It revisits the dark spirit of the original tale. There is a wonderful narrator who interrupts to warn readers about the disturbing events to come. Just when you think there may be a happing ending, something dreadful always happens. This was a really fun book to read and I would recommend it for anyone-except small children who like happy endings.
