Some Golden Harbor
Commander Daniel Leary, along with librarian turne signals officer
Adele Mundy, save the day again! Fun
space fleet action.
Flight of the Nighthawks
The sorcerer Pug is again battling to save his world from his old
enemy—and now the dangerous assassins too.
Two small-town boys join Pug’s family to help foil the evil plot. (Read the Riftwar Saga first)
Mirror of Worlds
Book 2 of Crown of Isles continues the struggles of Prince Garric and
his sister Sharina to subdue the enemy.
A good plot, memorable characters, and lots of magic.
Into a Dark Realm
Book 2 of Dark War Saga. Pug and
his extended family search out a way to save his world from invasion by the
vicious Dasati form the 2nd plane, and end up going to the Dasati’s
dangerous home world.
The Street Lawyer
A dramatic event in the beginning catches your attention. A big lawyer opens up his eyes and starts
fighting for justice to the underprivileged.
It’s a great read. Keeps your
attention as justice is served.
Debt of Bones
It’s a good read for a hot afternoon. It introduces you to a different world, where there’s magic, spells and wizards. It’s a great intro to begin to read Terry Goodkind’s series “Sword of Truth.” It gives background info of what goes on before in the beginning.
Answered Prayers
Faith is the main character in this book, and faith in her dreams
through many life changing obstacles is what brings her through to achieving
more dreams than she could ever imagine.
Changes
From coast to coast, Mel the dedicated news anchor, traveled to cover a story on the world’s best heart surgeon to save a poor little girl’s life. Not only due to her coverage and interview with Dr. Hallman, did it lead to a small child’s new extended chance on life. It led to breath taking changes for many-as life was experienced in new ways by each as families adapted to the changes.
Granny Dan
A love story of Granny Dan’s hidden youth discovered through letters of
long ago. Tied to the heartstrings of
the doctor who cared for her while catching influenza in ballet school. Would only hold true to change her life and
dreams forever. From Russia to America
is a dance, a dance we all call life!
Dead Ever After
This book felt anti-climactic.
Harris uses her beloved signature style of writing, but it felt like she
just put together a bunch of little ideas for ending the series, some of which
could have been left out.
Two Guys Read Jane Austen
This book has all the value of typical literary criticism with a much
more casual approach. It’s nice to get a
fresh perspective on Jane Austen from a man’s eyes—and two men reading it for fun,
nonetheless.
Call Me Irresistible
There was nothing overly special about this book, but that’s kind of
why I liked it. It’s a perfect laid-back
summer beach read full of funny scenarios, cute dialogue, and an unlikely love
match. Cute book!

Lasso Her Heart
This is happily-ever-after Christian romance. However, I was looking for something light-hearted and this spent a great deal of time discussing grief and how to overcome it with God.
Serendipity
Fun Christian romance. A good reminder to accept people for who they are. It also reminds us that love can grow and overcome all circumstances when we have God.
Small Town Christmas
Two happily-ever-after love stories. These stories also show the importance of honesty and good communication in marriages.
Wanted
Good Amish love story. Some parts were sad, but had a good moral of being honest with yourself and others.
Bachelor's Puzzle
Good Christian romance mixed with some suspense. Has a strong underlying theme of grace and forgiveness.
Fancy Pants
Light-hearted Christian romance. This is a well-written happily-ever-after book. The ending was somewhat anti-climatic, but it was still a good book.
Fifty Shades of Grey
Ana Steele goes to interview Christian grey and they start a relationship. Grey has erotic needs and the want to control everything. Ana is not sure this situation is for her despite her love for Christian.
Redneck Woman: stories from my life
Gretchen's road to country music stardom - who just so happens to be from my hometown.
Made to Crave
This book directly addresses the connection between what we believe are cravings for food but is really a craving (need) for a closer relationship with Christ.
She's Got Issues
A wonderful book which addresses the top five most common issues women struggle with in their daily life.
A Year on Ladybug Farm
An amusing look at the transition of three middle-aged friends from careers/city life to life on a plantation.
Catching Fire
This book continued on from the second extremely well. I was disappointed in some of the storyline but only because of the relationships between characters
Hunger Games
Really enjoyed the book and had trouble putting it down. Very suspenseful. Have honestly thought our society could come to this.
Gone Girl
This book is very exciting and it keeps twisting and turning just as you think you have it figured out. I loved that it was set in Missouri, it made you feel connected. I did not like how quickly the author tied all the loose ends and the way the book ended. Overall it was a great read and I would recommend it.
The future of us is the story of two friends, Josh & Emma, who stumble upon Facebook fifteen years before it is invented. They find themselves in the future and try to figure out what they can do in the present to make the future turn out differently. In the end, they discover living in the present fully is the best way to have a brighter future.
Sea
The book Sea is set after the giant tsunami in Thailand. Sierra goes with her father to help the victims and to deal with her own mother's death three years ago. She meets Deni, a boy who will leave an impression on her heart forever and help her fully live again.
Wonderstruck
Wonderful is another story within a story. One is written and the other is told in
beautiful drawing. Events unfold many years apart and a museum ends up leading a deaf boy and an old woman to each other. I liked this book as much as his other book about Hugo Cabret.
Requiem
I would have give this book, the final book in the Delirium trilogy 5 stars, had it not been for the ending. The ending was inconsistent with the rest of the trilogy and very disappointing. I'd still recommend it though, because after the first two in a series, you have to read the third and finish off the trilogy.
Pandemonium
This is the second book in the Delirium trilogy, and I loved it! Normally the 2nd books seem to act as fillers, but not Pandemonium. It was full of excitement as the main character met a new love interest and tried to save the world. A definite recommend!
The Four Corners of the Sky
At seven, Annie Peregrine's father walks out of her life leaving behind an airplane and the secret of her mother's identity. Annie is driven in career (military) as well as other aspects of her life (relationships) to find herself. A mystery comes full circle as her father mysteriously re-enters her adult life bringing not only questions, but a chance for new beginnings too.
The Litigators
David Zinc learns about a different side of law practice when he begins work for Finley & Figg, a boutique law firm, after leaving his current job. He tackles a large case, in turn, leading him to a bright future.
