The Wreck of the Titan

The Titan was the largest ship of its day and considered unsinkable, but hit an iceberg on its maiden voyage. Due to insufficient lifeboats, many passengers died, but some made it onto the iceberg and were recused.  Written over a decade before the real Titanic tragedy, the story has many eerie similarities to the point of seeming almost prophetic.
